C-E-L-E-B-R-A-T-E GOOD TIMES, COME ON!

Today, Tuesday, June 5th, 2012 shall forever live in infamy. Well, at least for me – but still, it shall henceforth be known as SuperAwesomeDiggityWow Day.  Seriously – I’m getting shirts made and everything ;) The excitement that I am feeling right now is somewhere between radioactive and full-on NUCLEAR—I’m about 99.99% sure that if you turn off the lights, I’d totally glow!!

  6. Erin ~ Congrats on your debut release! I have been trying to think all morning what my greatest day was. There've been so many good ones - usually involving my son. Seeing him take his first steps. Hearing that first word, first sentence. Watching him pilot a WWII plane, or scuba dive down to a shipwreck.

    But good days just for me? I think every day a book comes out is an awesome day. And every day a book is finished might be even better. ;)

    1. LOL - lucky for me (and my driving record), I have to make do with sparkling cider since I'm allergic to champagne and wine!

      So sweet about your best day ever! My hubby and I celebrated 11 yrs this week, and I have to say things only get better and better :-)

  12. Congratulations Erin! I have been looking forward to this release (it came home with me after work last night)! I wish you all the success any author deserves. Congratulations to Sam as well, her release is simply wonderful. Now if my classes will cooperate I can dig in and read them with free time they deserve.     The most exciting day for me was the day I signed my first publishing contract. Took my then-10-year-old daughter to see "Cats," and all I could think of that day was, "They like it! They really like it!!!"

    1. Oh! I forgot to tell you my most exciting day. LOL.

      Well, I think everyone knows my world the last several years has revolved around my nephew. He was at my house one day, and he was just starting to say a few words--I didn't have a name yet, or so I thought. I called him "buddy" a lot. Anyway, he did something he wasn't supposed to do, and he'd been warned not to do it, and his Daddy was about to spank him, and he started screaming something through his tears. It took us a few minutes to make out what he was saying...but it was, "No, Buddy," while looking straight at me with huge, pitiful eyes. That was the moment when I got my first name from the Monster boy, and when we ALL knew I was the favorite aunt. He didn't want his Mommy, he didn't want one of his grandparents, or any of the other aunts or uncles who were there to save him. He wanted his Buddy. :)

    Most exciting day ever? Well, the day my boyfriend of eleven years and I decided to marry. It wasn't really the world's greatest proposal (or really, any kind of a proposal at all -- the poor man is scared to death of marriage thanks to his parents' miserable union) but we went out for fish & chips and beer afterwards and I couldn't stop glowing thinking we'd finally make the BIG LEAP and commit to each other in a recognizable way. Makes me all glowy just thinking about it. <3 <3 <3

I'd have to say, besides the exciting day of my son's birth, the most excited I've been in a long while was a little over a year ago when I received a call offering me the job that I desperately wanted and needed. I couldn't stop screaming and jumping up and down after I hung up the phone, I was so relieved that my six months of unemployment were over.

  35. Happy release day! My most exciting day was when my DH and I took our first trip abroad to Japan. It was everything we ever imagined, and more. I'll never forget the awe and joy I felt walking around the streets of Tokyo and Kyoto.
